AL-KO Mechanical Caliper Brakes – Forward Pull – 1 pack

Disc brakes are commonly used in applications where resistance to corrosion is paramount. The open nature of disc brakes makes washing after exposure to corrosive environments a simple task. Disc brakes also allow quicker cooling during brake applications and therefore the disc brake system is less prone to brake fade.
For this reason, disc brakes are becoming common place on caravans and trailers used in harsh offroad environments.

Kit Includes

• 1 x mechanical disk brake calipers
• 2 x Zinc Plated Blots 7/16 UNF x 2 1/4
• 2 x 7/16 washers – shake proof
• 2 x Flat zinc washers 7/16 x 7/8

Maximum braking loads:

13 & 14 inch rims – 1300kg per axle
15 & 16 inch rims – 1000kg per axle

Minimum clearance in inside diameter of rim for brakes to fit:

Standard 1/2″ disc – 11.5″ or 296mm
All 4WD 5/8″ disc – 13.8″ or 350mm

18mm is the widest the pads will open.
